Review: Food

Author: Jim Gaffigan

Look sometimes I just need to laugh. I want ‘the Hot Pockets guy’ to tell me some good jokes about food to make me laugh. It’s a nice break from the dark and depressing books I’ve been reading lately.

There is no plot to this thing, it’s a collection of jokes about various food. It’s a funny, light read, and sometimes that’s what you need.

I like Jim Gaffigan’s stand-up comedy. He’s no Oscar Wilde but then who is?

Do I recommend this book? Well, comedy is subjective, so. . . do you find this funny?

  1. I find Jim Gaffigan amusing but I don’t think I could read a whole book full of his food jokes. Have you ever seen any stand-up routines by John Pinette? (he was a heavy-set and fairly wholesome comedian who also made a lot of jokes about eating.)
