This is hands down the most uncomfortable chapter! This book was written at about the same time as Peter Pan and has the same Victorian British tone, that condescending romanticization of ‘warrior’ indigenous peoples.
The children wish to meet “Red Indians” and it goes down hill from there. Ummm, enjoy?
