Author: Agatha Christie
Hercule Poirot is a Belgian refugee of the Great War. Once a Belgian Police Officer, Poirot is now a private investigator looking into, you guessed it, the mysterious affair at styles. Poison, missing wills, and accusations are flying around the plot. It’s going to take a lot of little gray cells to sort this mess out.
While I liked the story, I did feel that the solution was too much. Just too many twists and turns and false accusations. I love a mystery that pulls the rug out from under me, but I also want that moment where I’m kicking myself for not seeing the solution in hindsight. I loved it because I didn’t see the ending coming. I hated it because I don’t think ANYONE could see through all those last minute twists to the correct solution.
