The Baudelaires travel to the village of V.F.D hoping to follow up on the clue from the Quagmire children. but the Village of Fowl Devotees seems to be a dead end, but then the crows start leaving the Baudelaires poetry! What is going on in this vile little village?!
This book is a turning point in the series that needed to happen. The formula was getting old and we needed to see a change. I liked how the basic concept changed through plot development. It makes sense that at a certain point the Baudelaires would feel they need to stand on their own two feet.
